This page explains how to delete your Piscary account and the associated data. Deletion is immediate and permanent: once done, it cannot be undone.

Delete your account from the app

1. Open Piscary and tap the Me tab.
2. Tap the ⚙ cog (top right) to open Settings.
3. In the Account group, tap Delete account.
4. Confirm your identity: enter your password or, if your account was created with Google or Apple, sign in again with that provider.
5. Tap Delete permanently.

Deletion is then immediate and permanent on the server side.

What is deleted

Deletion permanently erases the following data:

• your account (authentication credentials);
• your profile (username, display name, avatar, total points);
• your synced catches and their photos, including public copies;
• your trips and their GPS trace, your saved spots, your favorites and your synced preferences;
• your gear (rods, reels, lures, combos) and its photos;
• your fishing licenses and permits and their images (from version 1.0.11);
• your comments, your likes and your follows (followers and following);
• your reports and blocks;
• your notification tokens;
• the species-recognition photos and signatures still linked to your account.

Your local data (on the device) is additionally erased when you delete the relevant items in the app or when you uninstall the app.

What is erased elsewhere, or remains for a while

After deletion, we keep no profile or content identifying you for service-use purposes. Some information does remain, for a limited time:

• your customer record at RevenueCat (subscription purchase history) and, if you had accepted usage statistics, your measurement profile at PostHog: their erasure is requested automatically when you delete your account, and these providers carry it out on their side. Your payments stay with Apple or Google, who handle them;
• the host’s technical backups, which expire on their own within a few days;
• reports that targeted your account: the link to your account is removed, but the copy of the reported content taken at the time of the report (for example the text and the display name) is kept as long as it is useful for moderation;
• items required to comply with legal, accounting or security obligations (for instance in case of a dispute or a legal request), for the time required, then deleted or anonymized.

Delete your account without the app

If you cannot access the app, write to contact@piscary.app from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Piscary account deletion”. We will process your request within a maximum of 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity in order to protect your account.

Important: Piscary Pro subscription

Deleting your Piscary account does not cancel any Piscary Pro subscription. You must cancel it separately:

• iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Piscary.
• Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Piscary.

A lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel: it is never billed again, and deleting the account does not refund it.
