Double uni knot

Two uni knots facing each other: joins braid to leader without any tool.

Tying it

1. 1

   Step 1: Overlap the two lines over about 20 cm.

   Step 2: Tie a uni knot with the first line around the second, five turns.

3. 3

   Step 3: Do the same with the second line around the first.

4. 4

   Step 4: Wet, pull both standing lines so the knots meet, and trim.

Always wet a knot before tightening it: dry friction burns the line and costs a good part of its strength.
