Uni knot

One knot for everything: hook, swivel, spool. Holds in mono as well as braid.

Tying it

   Step 1: Pass the line through the eye and fold it back to make a loop.

   Step 2: Wrap the tag end six times around the two strands, inside the loop.

3. 3

   Step 3: Pull the tag end to close the turns on themselves.

4. 4

   Step 4: Wet, slide the knot down to the eye and trim.

Always wet a knot before tightening it: dry friction burns the line and costs a good part of its strength.
